Thread: Keren City Racetrack Live

Well, the last of the 3 race tracks is apparantly live on all servers, next to the starport in Keren. I don't recall seeing anything announcing this release, but that's besides the point.
You really have to just slowly drive through the track once so everything loads, then you may have to turn some visual options down a bit to keep things going smoothly. Besides this, I found it to be pretty fun, my best time is a 112 so far - screenshots coming soon.
What do you guys think of it?

I haven't run it yet because I wasn't aware that it was in the game, but knowing my computer I'll probably never get a fast time on it even though I have an AV-21 now.

I'm not sure how long it's been live, I haven't even bothered checking since there was no announcement.

How the devil did you get 112???
It took me 26 times just to get 120.

yeah it went up Thursday. No big patch notes or anything. Just a small post on Tuesday saying it would be up Thursday. Go figure.

Live on Corbantis. Problem though in that the timer seems to be set to 4 second increments. Record was 124 when I got there, record was broken at 120 while I was getting used to terrain. All the waypoints along the course are 4 second increments - hit the first one at 8 or 12 secs. Tied the record at 120 twice, but a tie's not good enough for the badge.
Does this mean that it's not good enough to just beat the previous record, but that it's necessary to beat it by a whole 4 seconds? Is it like this on the other courses?

I liked it but I get better times on a speeder bike them my av 21. The bike corners much better and alot of the track is in the center of Keren with narrow bridges that i tended to catch the big ol AV on.

Sorry about that! I got it on my 4th try, you really have to cut everything possible. I will login and see if my record is still there later.

LOL....no Miriam, no need to apologize. I applaud you being able to hit the mark on your 4th try.
My problem is with the 4 second timer increments. It seems obvious that you need to beat the previous best by at least 4 seconds if others are posting records at 124, 120, 116 and 112. All my times were in the same increments, with lots of 128s and 132s.
