Thread: Avatar Guards in Dearic!

Last night I logged into the game (I had logged out when in dearic starport at ship terminals), and immediately get attacked by 4 or 5 avatar Guards (level 81). Before I could get into the game to even respond to the attack, I was incapped once, then when I finally got control of my jedi, I got incapped a second time. I was lucky to be able to activate Aura and infusion before the third incap (was at half health then).
Well, I got situated and beat down a couple of them then I force ran away leaving the others behind as my force pool was nearly gone. I could have used channel but I really didn't feel like gaining anymore vis at that point. Only reason I fought them in the first place was because they gave chase, plus I never fought one before and mainly because I was pissed off that they incapped me twice before I could barely defend myself.
The funny thing is that I just knew a BH squad had caught up to me as quick as I got incapped...lol I thought I would be losing over 300k xp because I had been fighting npc's the day before, so figured I was on the terms......well, now I know for sure I"m on the terms with all the people in the starport watching a jedi fight against great odds (some of them tried to help, but they weren't level 80 so they didn't last long..hehe). I have to say it was a nice little fight being that I wasn't prepared....I didn't have buffs, foods, didn't even have my saber or robe equipped.
Anyway, where did these guys come from? I don't have ROTW so I'm not sure if they are the guards from the avatar or what. IF they are, how the heck did they get into dearic, talus? Did the devs drop'em there or something and was this just on my server or did people have encounters on other servers too?

Isn't it because of people doing the Secrets of the Syrens quest(s)?

i went their 2 considering it was bugged, but its really for act 3 of the syren quest

yea i got the wookie out of the house and chatted to him then a lvl 84 bos warped in and a managed to kill him but then the wookie just said jets get teh hell out of here and followed me 1k and still wouldnt talk to me again

Ok, so I can assume the mobs somehow got into the starport and just started slaughtering people...lol

The rebel part 3 story arc's last mission is to return to tyrene is deliver all your information back to the mission giver. This is after visiting a secret location (I won't tell the location because its my new favorite camping spot and I don't want it nerfed) full of Avatar Guards. After you finish that portion and need to return to the mission giver, you are suppose to use a starport to go to tyrene. As soon as you use a shuttle, about 3 avatar guards will spawn to intercept you in tyrene. BUT the gaurds will spawn at your location no matter where you shuttle to. So, you saw avatar guards in Dearic because someone decided to go there instead of Tyrene.
Try going to Tyrene and look at all the gaurds. lol

Ok, that explains it. I haven't bothered with those quest yet, too busy finishing up jedi and running my WS business. I guess it would suck for crafters and low level characters to be in the starport when those guys spawn. One isn't so bad, but 3 makes a CL 80 defender hurt pretty good, let alone a lower CL character. Thanks for the info, I'll be careful not to go to tyrena with my jedianytime soon...hehe. Although, I have no reason to go there anyway.

The ambush happens on the Imperial part of the quest as well.
It's really irritating, since the guards are often left behind by the person doing the quest. A group of these were wreaking havoc in Mos Eisely the other night. They like to blow up vehicles of innocent bystanders too!

haha, that is great... Avatar Guards slaughter all the noobs in Mos Noobsy
