Did you do the Holo Grind? If so you need to talk to Paemos and choose the "I'd like to learn about new ways to use the Force" or something close to that.... brings up a box w/ how many "free" unlocks you have and you choose the trees you want to unlock, ONE at a time then go to the Trainer - Noldan and train the entire tree, then return to Paemos and Unlock your next "free" tree.
If you don't have any "free" unlocks, yep, ya gotta do a quest to unlock the tree.

You have to do a quest for one of the villagers (or have a free holocredit branch) - then get trained by one of the white NPC dots in the village.

you don't get trained in FS skills by the same NPC that converts it.

Noldan is the guy that will train you. He's not far from Paemos.
I have a rather stupid question that's pretty important to me, if you all wouldn't mind helping me out
I'm a doctor/dancer and as a result have verylittle combat and weapon experience. Will this experience be requiredfill the combat mastery and reflexs boxes or will my dancer/healing exp transfer fine? I'm only worried because after converting some exp over I was just looking and goofing around and it appeared when I asked Paemos about either of those 2 trees only options to convert were combat related.

Needed requirements to get trained in a FS-skills:
1.) Either have holo-credits left or have completed a FS-quest
2.) Converted enough XP to force-thingie-XP
3.) Walked up to FS-skills-trainer (who is located behind some fence)
4.) Get trained
If it still doesn't work, I'm clueless.

Thank you Talasa. Not the answer I wanted to hear but at least I'm aware of it now.

@Goldy: Yes, you need combat XP types for combat prowess, crafting XP for the crafting branches, etc etc
and I thought my crafting days were over. lol Do you need a crafting class, or do they give you some things to craft? Also how much XP do you need? Thanks

Well, obviously you need to be an artisan at least in order to craft things
About how much crafting XP you need, there is a thread ALL IN CAPS LOCK on the first page of this forum

for crafting it accepted pretty much any crafting. I have no artisan but my medical crafting transferred into those boxes just fine. General crafting transferred to so like if you're a smuggler making spice or a musician making instruments it should count.
The quest probably gives you something to craft but to fill out those boxes you just gotta craft to get exp to turn that exp into FS exp to fill the crafting mastery boxes.
