Thread: The trick to spawning Xos... (maybe?)

Okay, so, I went to Xos as Rebel Combatant, and my group killed him after a 2 and a half hour wait... then I killed the Inquisition troopers there, the odd-looking Imp ones, and 15 minutes later, Xos spawned again? Maybe has soemthing to do with it?

hey at this point ill try anything to speed up the spawn times. Two to three hour wait is just nuts...not to mention fighting other groups for credit

Xos is on random spawn timer between min and max values.


I do not know what the min and max values are.

We did this last night. After about a 5 min wait and killing random things around, he spawned. Due to campers, not everyone in our group got the credit. We ended up killing maybe 10 of the other things that spawned around there and he was back. Time between the 2 spawns was maybe 15 mins max. No idea if this has anything to do with it. Like they said its prolly on a min/max timer. At least we can say the min is 10 - 15 mins?

The developer coding the timer told us this just before launch

I camed xos spawn 3 hours yesterday spawns ranged from 13-67 mins

ok with the quest that has xos in it. i killed him a few times and still no splinters whats up witn that. Do i need to loot him or something to get to the next part of the quest?

i did this to sounds like you need to still need to go to the wp that makes yout backback humm... its on the quest info page.

I had my back back humm. i got all the other parts of the quest done. I killed him twice and still no credit. What is going one. I AM SURE I DID EVERYTHING RIGHT. FOLLOWED THE GUIDE TO A T

If you are not the only one hitting Xos, whether its other players that are not grouped with you or NPC's attacking him, if you do not do more damage than them the system seems to ignore the fact that you helped in his death.


Tell tale sign is try and loot him, if it says you do not have permission to loot this corpse, you were outdamaged. This is why the Quests should not use high end mobs as part of them. Campers ruin the ability for some to complete there quest goals.

Xos seems to be spawning away from the spawn spot quite often so I'd say if you've been waiting a while try scouting round the area

also best to double check that you have the update before you kill him or you won't get credit

i think the spawn is set to have a low random and high random ex. he dies it starts the long random 1-4 hours kill him after that, you getshort random 15min-1 hour kill him again long again
