How do you properly mine with this thing? Should I have mining turrets on every slot? Or a mining laser on the pilot gun and have the other 2 front ones tractor beams.

I've tried putting newly crafted tractor beams in each turret, and they don't seem to work at all.
I also tried Y-8 mining lasers in all the turrets, but I can't seem to get asteroid chunks to break off ![]()
Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I'd be interested in some info from anyone that has actually got this working.

Does anyone mine with the Y-8? And if you do HOW IN ALL HELL DO YO DO IT?!?!?!
It almost seems impossible, my friend Inoy I have tried and tried and cant seem to be able to do it worth a crap and its getting annoying. It almost seems like that beast of a ship is not good for anything but for storage.
If you have a system down for mining with it please let me know, especialy if it can be done with only 2 of us that would be great.
The way I set it up was I had the tractor beam set for myself (the pilot) and the blaster set for my friend but I cant see where the tractor beam is going and my friend cant tell whats going on really.
Any info would be more then appreciated.
Thanks!
