Thread: Suggestion for making crafters life easier

Hi Devs, if you get to read this I'd be very grateful if you could write an upgrade to include the following for crafters:


Requests:


1: list draft schematic number in info on datapad to make it easier to identify the schematics for macro purposes

2: make a crafters bag that automatically sorts the resources into types so that when you view it it is quicker to find the correct resource

3: make it easier to earn crafting xp by either adding xp to crafting tools and stations [maybe a higher rate as a crafting station should be a higher level than a generic crafting tool] or adding crafting xp to factories [all be it at a lower rate as items are produced in bulk]


Reasons:


1: when writing a macro, using the /selectDraftSchematic## option is a nightmare when trying to find the item you want to craft as there doesn't appear to be any set order for the schematics, plus the numbers apear to change every time you learn a new level.


2: selecting resources from a normal pack is annoying when everytime you organise the resources to show types in order it doesn't stay as you set it after you close and re-open it


3: I'm sure I'm not the only one that wants to sit at their pc hour after hour selecting resources to add to the crafting macro as it runs....where's the fun in that, come on devs show some compassion for crafters, whilst everyone else is having fun going out hunting and doing quests, I'm sat here watching my xp bar creep up by 26 points at a time while I desparately craft to earn the 32000xp I need for my first box.


These are my suggestions and views, I hope I can get some support for these ideas as I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that every other profession seems to be getting upgraded apart from the crafters ones, lets hope that SOE will release a few more suprises for us crafters in the near future....and I thank SOE for the great vendor upgrades so we can find resources by name now instead of hunting through hundreds of resources by viewing each item

Just alittle tip, there is another command you can use to get the same effect without the hassle of always changing the schematic number. Its been awhile since the holo grind where I used macros to get through those tier 4 boxes. I think it something like /selectDefaultButton. Get yourself set up, craft one by hand, making sure you have al the resources in your crafting window. after you craft the first one, every similar tool you have on you will have that item selected to craft again. This command will put you to the next crafting stage where you can put in the resources. and you can use the rest of the script that you already have to finish the crafting session.


As for your other concerns, yes its a long drawn out battle for crafting exp, but too many people have been caught and many more that haven't, are using 3rd party programs to grind crafting exp AFK. or while playing another toon. If they raise the exp gained per craft, they pretty much will raise the cost of the rewards... (village exp conversion for Architects is unreal but that goes to show you how those 5k exp gungan heads will do for you)


You have alot of good concerns but, the dev's seem to want drag things out to keep you playing.. good or bad
