I read yesterday that you can free graphic card memory with the following command to help prevent lag :
/flushGraphicsResources fullReset
or
/flushg
Is this still arround ?
I tried it without success. I even tried different typo !

Is the command, if you just type /flushgra it will tell you the command, which is what i wrote. The one in the above post may be an alternative I haven't tried that one though.

it still works, u dont get a confirmation that it has worked, u just have to take the systems 'word' hehe

this what i use, especially when planet hopping. after you type the command your screen "freezes" up (dumping the graphics) then resumes to normal

For some reason, typing /flushgra is recognized, but not accepted ! I have a weird error coming on my chat window. I made an alias on the full command, easier to use and I'm sure this works actually !

perhaps the command (and the method) is driver-dependent? just a thought.. maybe different video card drivers do things differently.. or some left out abilities to do it, while some dont?

It works fine for me. Usually I don't even see any immediate effect - it just dumps the cache and I carry on without a pause. Sometimes, however (like in Theed or Coronet) the game appears to freeze for a couple seconds while it processes the command.
It's working.
