Thread: Inventory Guide

I'd like a link to any guide on inventory workings.
I'm specifically curious about these things that are not obvious to me:
1. most item labels are white, but sometimes I see some in yellow/green.
What does this mean?
2. Items do not usually have a highlight box around them until they are equipped.
Sometimes I see a red box, though, even when not equipped. This red box even
appears when the item is in the toolbar. It would make sense for this to apply to
uncertified items perhaps, but that is not what I see.
3. Are items in droid storage safe from Imperial search?
4. When a schematic has been loaded into your datapad (mistakenly in one case ),
can it be traded or sold or in any way transferred to someone else? If not, is there
actually a good reason for that?

Thanks.

Clothes that have sockets will show up yellow. Backpack names can be colored with \#FF0000 tags.

A red box denotes a 0/XXX item. It has completely decayed. This is true for items which have untrackable condition as well such as crafting tools.

The yellow/green label can also indicate that you've looted a "special" item. For example, it lets you know that the CDEF Rifle you looted has a +5 Cover enhancement or that a looted ax does poison DOT so that you don't destroy it thinking it's just junk.

Either it has been crafted by a player, it means the player put a color code when crafting to make it appear like this. If it is looted, it usually has stats above average.

Red box in your inventory means the condition of the item has reached 0, or that the item has no condition specified (ie ubese shirt, marbari armor....) However, a red box item does not mean you cannot equip/wear/use it anymore. (ie if BE clothes are in red, you can still equip them and get benefit of the bonus)

I think so, correct me if I am wrong

yes, schematics are tradable. For example, I am master doc but only have 10pts experimentation. I can bring the ressources to a 12pts Doc that will create a schem for me.

Yellow item are "special" items... tho not necessarily that great.

Also, armor can be "red" if you do not have the stats to equip it (I think).... (sometimes you need to be buffed to wear armor) Even Ubese shirts/banoliers will be red (and cannot be equipped) if any of your sencondary stats modifiers are capped (even tho they have no encumberance.... you can no put on even this armor.... would need to get buffed to equip).... that is my understanding.

Also, you can sell any schematic on a vendor/bazaar.... you will see a "datapad" tab you can go to when selling items.
