I accidentally killed my target due to many battles around him. Is my mission done or will he respawn after 24 hors or so? I'm afraid to go back to Hans Solo with the bad news.

Dear Top Gun,
Go back to Han. Being a nice guy, he will forgive you, well, maybe after he has given you some well formulated opinions 
- No, he won't respawn.
- You will get a mission failure, but no sweat, you can re-start it.
