Thread: Question of rank

I have been playing since day two. I have searched the forums for the answer to this question and found no answer. I recently joined the Rebels. I have earned quite a few promotions. The question; How can I tell what rank my toon has attained?? Where do I look??

Talk to a recruiter. He'll refer to you by your rank. It's not listed on your character information unless of course you add it to your bio.

Not sure if it's much help but if you go and speak to your faction recruiter and ask about promotion he will say "promotion to the rank of xxx requires 9999 of factional standing" or something along those lines - then you'll know you're one rank below this.
As far as I know that's the closest it gets to telling you your rank...

Couple of different ways to do this...
1. Talk to any Rebel Recruiter and he/she will address you by your current rank. Also in their radial menu, there is an option to the affect of "Have I gained enough points for a promotion", clicking on this allows you to find out how many points above your base 200 you need to proceed to the next rank.
2. Talk to any Rebel NPC Officer, they will also address you by your current rank.
As a note, each rank has a faction point cap, so don't go too far past your promotion level or your rank will hit the cap and you can potentially lose the opportunity to collect faction points until you're promoted.

Also, at this time, it's not really worth it to be at a higher rank IMO. I am a Rebel Colonel, all it really does is allow me to buy bigger bases and hold more faction. I have like 60k in faction right now, but I ain't really going to spend it until I can buy some better stuff. On the other hand,EVERY time I get stopped by an Imp patrol I am being turned overt, which can be a pain in the neck.
I did hear that it will be worth something in the JTL, but ya never really know...
