I am a combat/Crafter and I was going to get the FS skills to make me better at both...I don't think I'm going for jedi, so don't flame me about any jedi crap. the 36 to 1 exp raito is fine with me on combat since it's so easy to get...now crafting ont he otherhand is much harder to get fast. I am crafting ABEC's at 84xp per...this means to gain ne skill tree i will need to craft 75,000 of em...that seems a little high...Make getting the skills hard, I'm alll for that but this seems a little exsessive...the ark and general crafting raitos are equaly as abismal...is there anythign we can do about this? (remember this isn't a jedi thread, don't flame me)

I'll keep this as short and to the point as I can.
The Facts:
Current exchange rate for armor crafting experience to Force sensitive crafting experience is 5:1. Novice "Crafting Mastery" requires 50,000 Force sensitive crafting experience, equivalent to 100,000 armor crafting experience. Each line of crafting mastery requires 1,225,000 Force senstive crafting experience, equivalent to 6,125,000 armor crafting experience.
The currenttotal Force sensitve experience required for novice crafting mastery and all four crafting mastery trees is 4,950,000, equivalent to 24,750,000 armor crafting experience. Current experience cap for armor crafting is 120,000. Assuming no "Holocredit" is used, one must cap their armor crafting xp 206 times to complete all four branches of crafting mastery.
My Opinion:
I didn't hologrind. I have no problem at all with the the fact that I have no "holocredit", as I didn't earn any. I'm speaking here as someone who doesn't necessarily want a Jedi character, or the extra character slot one recieves at the level of Jedi Padawan. I simply view the new Force sensitive quests as new content, and the new Force sensitive abilities as a way to continue character progression in the profession(s) that I love, and gain some neat but not unbalanced perks.
With that being said, who in the world is going to accumulate almost 25 million armor crafting xp as a practicing master armorsmith? Considering the vast majority of our production is done via factory, our rate of experience gain while practicing our profession of choice is, in a word, slow.
I don't expect to complete the crafting mastery skills in a few days, or even a few weeks. I'd just like to feel as if, through the normal practice of my trade, that I'm gaining something when it comes to this new form of character advancement.
An Interesting (Potential) Side Effect:
Let's say someone does actually decide to tackle this mountain of xp head-on. Are they going to pick any of the elite crafting professions to crank out cheap xp? Well, with structure crafting xp conversions at 30:1 anf the other elite crafting xp rates at 5:1, I doubt it. Instead, they're going to head over to general crafting xp (artisan), where they sufferan 8:1 exhange ration but can accumulate it rapidly by crafing swoops. What in the word is going to happen to the vehicle market is someone knocks out 100 swoops (inventory constraints)before switching to practice mode every time they sit down to grind out some crafting xp for conversion to Force sensitve crafting xp.
