Thread: Lair questions

I've been playing since the game came out and killing lairs that are empty are annoying. I understand why they increased the HP but when thier empty not not just let them be destroyed with one hit? Whats the real point? I spent the 20 minutes to kill the inhabitands just destroy it geez! lol any comments welcome

u know when your doing missions and u empty the lair but u still gotta kill of 20k of hit points on it when its empty that gets annoying espically after u killed all the inhabitants.

Oh okay.

I remeber back in the day, people could earn millions (and this was when million was a lot) by doing baz nitch missions. The lairs were only 10K HAM back then.

Yeah I made 10 million doing that as a master commando. Used to launch a weapon at it and destroy the lair with one or 2 shots then run to the next target was fun. I see why they gave them more xp but when u killed all the creatures in the lair and it still at 50% hp I dont see the point in it not just destroying itself.

its done to try and keep some control over the economy. As it is right now, a Master Swords can make about 3 million in a 3 1/2 hour buff session doing janta missions. Most tka and MSwords people don't even kill the mokks or jantas when they are after money. If they lowered the hp on a lair, you could make 10 million in a buff easily. If the said after the creatures are dead, you can one hit a lair, then I would be able to make close to 5-6 million in 3 hours.

Yes I know but when thier is nothing to defend it then why waiste the time? Could save the server some load just by elimnating empty lairs.

A truly empty lair is supposed to allow it's self to take increased damage. So when you're wacking away at it for 1k a hit, when empty.. it should start increasing it's damage input to say.. 2k or higher per hit. I've noticed this isn't happening for me.

There is a damage multiplier applied to damage done to empty lairs to help take them down quicker, but like a lot of things it's a bit buggy and doesn't always work.


It also doesn't work on humanoid npc "lairs" since they never spawn anything, and so were technically always "empty".


As far as the server load issue goes, having a few hundred mobs wandering around that people didn't bother killing because they could just destroy the lair instead would create a lot more problems than havinga few empty lairs hanging around.

The Modifier works decently for me. I nearly shat myself when I did a (normal) shot on a lair for over 10K damage
