Just wondering the ways there are. I've been told to do faction missions, but I can be fresh in from doing many a mission for the imperials when the rebels raid Bestine, and not be able to do anything to help the imperials. Not having mastered my starting profession yet I do not want to go Overt yet, but would like to be able to aid my faction members during a raid (note I don't have the medic skill so I can't heal them)

A total of 10k people playing across all the servers during prime time on the weekend? 791 people on the most populous, 133 on the least? That makes the NGE a success right?

the ones i know of are

1. Heal overt member of faction

2. Attack or kill any opposing faction npc or player

Ways to GET Tef (When your imperial. For rebel switch where needed)are by attacking rebel PC(read below)and NPC's, healing a overt Imperial. Thats about it. I've heard that when you check the Imperial mission terminal you getTEF only while looking at it but don't know.

Now you can't just attack overts if you covert. You either need to A) Be overt or B) Be in a party. If your in a party with a overt, and a rebel PC starts to fire at it, you can fire on the rebel. This will give you a TEF of course. If you just generally want to help whenever a fight occurs, you need to be overt. Even if you heal a overt Imperial in battle, I don't believe you can then target the rebels.

1. You can also be grouped with a Overt imperial, and if he is attacked then you can attack back... Or if a covert imperial on ur team gets TEF, and he gets attacked.. you can also attack

2. Trade with them... You dont necessarily have to trade anything, just get the trade box to open between the two.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully I'll master my pistol skills and get pistoleer soon, and be able to go Overt.

Almost any type of interaction with an overt player, aside from just talking to them, can give you a TEF from what I have experienced. Example, while I was overt the other day I was trying to sell a sword to a neutral player (I forgot I was overt at that time). When I realized I could not trade with him I enlisted the help of a covert to act as a middleman & help complete the trade for me. Upon trading the sword to the covert she informed me that she was unable to trade to the neutral due to, what I assume, was a TEF that I gave her. She then enlisted a friend, another covert,to help complete the transactiononly to find out that he too could not trade with the neutral due to the TEF that she had nowgiven him.If he had gone to the med center afterwards & had been healed by a fellow factiondoctor I assume he would also pick up the same TEF. The point is that it seems to be very easy to give someone a TEF & for that person to pass it along without even realizings/he had one to begin with. The moral of the story? Always wear protection!

BTW,you can't attack an overt player simply because you have a TEF, however they CAN attack you. More often then not the first shot is ususally the deciding factor in a duel. If you want to help during a raid I suggest you find a recruiter & go overt otherwise you must wait for someone to hit you first after you pick up a TEF before you can join the fight.

For those who believe, no explanation is necessary. For those who do not, none will suffice.
