Unfortunately neither in the knowledge base nor in the forums there was an answer to be found on this question:

Do I get crafting XP for crafting stuff in a factory?

If I do get XP, how much is it? 100%? Less?

Thank you for kindly answering the question.

You get 10% of the original crafting XP but you have to be close to the FActory to get it, I dont know the actual distance limit but I think you can log off right next to it and still get the 10% XP.

Can anyone confirm this?

Was nerfed a long time ago.

You currently get 0 XP for using factories.

As far as I am aware, it's working, but...

You currently get 5% of the full xp you would get, but not while the item is being made. You get it when you pull the completed item out of the crate it's in.

Notice the "you". If you sell a crate you don't get any xp from it. If you use the crate in crafting you don't get xp from it. If you give it away to someone else you don't get xp from it. It's only when you pull it manually from the crate that you get the xp.

When I was an armorsmith, user XP was awarded each time a smuggler used an AUK I made. The XP was considerable - like 150 armor crafting XP per AUK. I used to sell them just for the cost of materials, because the xp was far more valuable to me.

I'm sure that's changed, but I couldn't confirm that... I haven't crafted anything more than a camp kit in about 6 months.

Yep, not only was factory xp nerfed, but they also nerfed the factories themselves so bad that any player can pump out product at more than 10 times the rate of a factory...& that's without using a single macro. At this point the only thing factories are good for is making a run of items from a very good schematic.

Uh.... and the multitudes of items that can only be made with items from a factory crate...

And the fact that not everyone wants to sit around and craft, when they can just set up the factory and get on with their other stuff
