Not being a DE I have no clue about how they word or the maximum bonus allowed.

The droid I have is R3 but how many modules it has I have idea.

Thx

Theres talk the theoretical max is 120, but the higher I have seen is 108. Try it with one in the 100's and see if it makes a difference.

The veghash still works by the way with the droid oddly enough when you take it.

I'm confused. I thought you could still loot/harvest while in combat. So why is it such an advantage to be able to do it with a droid?

You can /loot in combat, however you have to wait until you are out of combat to be able to harvest anything.

No you can't harvest while in combat. You'll get a message stating that you cannot do that in your current state. A droid can harvest for you. The droid also allows you to stay stationary while you sit at an ideal range from the nest picking off creatures as they spawn from it. All the while your droid is zipping around picking up the harvest.

Only thing I would change is for the commands to work in a queuing system instead of a interrupt system. If you tell your droid to harvest another corpse before it has harvested its current corpse it'll ignore the previous command and go on to the next target.

Hmm...well now that actually might be kind of usefull. As a rifleman I know it's kind of a pain to kill my targets at 60m and then have to run around harvesting everything after the lair is finished spawning for that round.

Hmm, never noticed that. I guess I just did it subconsiously.

Do the MOBs ever attack the droid?

Being a scout who foes off-world alot I though I would buy me one these.

So I went to one of DE`s on Tatooine and checked his stock and sure enough he had 3 of them in his vendor.

One had a +59 Harvesting bonus, one 66 and the one I got 78.

Cool I thought, that should be a whole lot avian meat and I set of of Yavin to kill birds and choku`s.

Deploy my pets and hervest. All I got was around 2 or 3 extra meat per animal. Not what I though it would be.

Are these droid really worth the hassle ?

That depends on how much meat you were getting. 2 or 3 extra units is a lot compared to 5 or 10 units, but if it's compared to 100 units, no, it's not worth it

Whats your own harvest skill? The reason I ask is that there have been posts that the number of units is relational to this and the
creature harvesting bonus. With some Rangers saying they can get less per harvest (depending on the droid) and some scouts will harvest 4 or lower saying they get a decent bonus. One other thing to note is that they can be made a fair bit better than 78 so you may have more success with a maxed out advance R3 unit with all 6 modules stacked.

The higher your harvesting skill the higher you need the droid to be in order to see a bonus. No matter what level the droid is it still offers the advantage of being able to have the droid harvest while you are in combat, have a state effect applied, and with the simplicity of a single keystroke(depending on how you program it). These have been one of my best seller since patch. A friend of mine uses my maxed R3 and sees a decent improvement over his lvl 4 hunting skill but his main praise of the droid is not having to do it himself.

Those droid bonuses are way too low. Try a droid with +102 or better and you'll see good results.

I made +115 droids, and my toon with harvesting 4 got these results:

scavenger rat: toon harvest: 11 units, droid harvest: 15 units.

Try that on a big critter and you're talking +40 or 50 units per kill.

I have scout with Hunting 1 only, and with a +102 Harvesting Droid I was getting around 10 units more per creature for a creature that yielded 40units. It is definitely worth it plus you can have it harvest while you are killing the next creature. Which makes your harvesting go faster.

Just bring a crate of batteries with you.
