OK this isn't exactly a game guide topic but there isn't really anywhere for general discussion so here it gets posted.

The new forum layout... what do you guys think?

Personally I don't really like it: the forums selected to be displayed on the main page seem random and have no bearing on the ones I actually use, it's impossible to see which ones have a new post or 'topic' in as you used to be able to and I now have to do more clicking in general to get where I want.

My suggestion would be that if you must have a "selective" offering of forums for the main page at least make them the ones I use most. What good is it me to know that the Bria trade froum is the most popular forum? I'll still never use it as I don't use any toons on Bria.

Of course, the forum system for this site suffers from even more severe issues. Every tried searching for something? If not, give it a try and see if you don't want to hang yourself by the time you are done.

I use the search function a lot, it drives me mad.

Which reminds me... my bigest gripe about that is why oh why don't they show "most recent post" first. I always search then "re-search" to get the most recent; which takes me twice as long and places twice as much work on the poor hamsters.

Why would I want to see posts on the trade forum from 2003 for example?

Anyway back on topic pls lol.
