I hear that you type /open. but I don't have permission. thanks for the knowledge

/open used to work and you could see anything you oponent had equipted but for some reason they removed it. If you do Ctrl and 1 (to select your self) and then type /open you can see all the stuff you have equipted.

You were correct on the method just out dated. Similar to finding out NPC's weapons too. That was a hoot while it worked.

You can still /open NPC's, but it only works inside. For example you can go into Mos Eisley cantina and open the Bith people and see what they are wearing

I had a guy give me the name and stats of my gun about 3 weeks ago. does that make sense?

There was a exploit/bug that was in the game a few weeks ago that allowed you too open players inventorys and see what they had in there to an extent but it has been removed now.
