Thread: Title Changing Macro

does on exsist? i was wondering because i would like my title to shift every certain amount of seconds/mins


from Master Image Designer to Master Tailor. i dont think there is such a thing but still would be nice to have.

There used to be such a thing, only problem was the devs neglected to put in limitations to what you could change your title to. So there ended up being dancers running around with the title of Master Bounty Hunter, and novice artisans with the title of Master Commando.

The command still exists. I think it is something like /setcurrenttitle or something like that. When they patched it they just made it so you could only change it to a title you possessed.


All you would have to do is:


Put the macro in a toolbar slot and


/setcurrenttitleblahblah;(if this is the command, cause I can't remember)
/pause 360;
/setcurrenttitle blahblah;
/pause 360;
/setcurrenttitleblahblah;
/pause 360;
/setcurrenttitle blahblah;
/pause 360;
/ui action toolbarSlot##; (whatever slot # it is).


It will repeat until the macro is moved to another slot or removed completely. Haven't done this myself, but it should work along those lines.

The command is /setCurrentSkillTitle


I used this command to change my title from Novice Bounty Hunter to just Bounty Hunter. It has been a long time since I used the command, but if I remember correctly the format is something like


/setCurrentSkillTitle combat_marksman_pistol04


If I did that correctly, it should change your title to Apprentice Gunfighter. As already mentioned however, you can only set your title to one that you have already earned.

so what would be a Macro betwee Master Image Designer and Uniform marshal 0-4-0-0 tailor?

That's the problem, figuring out the exact wording for each of the titles. I could never figure out how to setcurrentskilltitle to Strategist as a SL.. nor tactician, even using scout_squadleader_strategy04/tactics04 like it seems it should be.

Example of a Title changing macro (the last line /macro calls the macro named Title, this way the macro does not have to be in your Quick Slots; however, you can only stop the macro by logging or /dump):

/setCurrentSkillTitle crafting_merchant_novice;
/pause 2;
/setCurrentSkillTitle crafting_artisan_master;
/pause 2;
/setCurrentSkillTitle social_musician_master;
/pause 2;
/setCurrentSkillTitle social_musician_ability_04;
/pause 2;
/setCurrentSkillTitle crafting_tailor_novice;
/pause 2;
/macro Title;

So...anyone know the correct usage to turn OFF the **edit** stupid titles? TurningMaster Scout (which I don't even HAVE any more) to No Title every **edit** time I log in is very annoying.

I totally agree with you. I need to find a way to turn this option off. I am tyre of people coming up to me and asking for training in skills I don't even have because I forgot to turn the title off when I logged in.

Master Politician is social_politician_master

Master ID is social_imagedesigner_master
Master Tailor is crafting_tailor_master

I have a list of all of them and their associated titles, including the new Jedi titles, but the forum wont let me post them in any decently readable format. If anyone needs any others let me know.

oh yeah, /setCurrentSkillTitle by itself with turn your title off. It will still come back when you login though
