How much time after logging out of the game does your character dissapear from the world?

It depends on if you /logout. If you logout it should be instant. But If you just /quit then I think it can take up to 5 mins....

I've been told my character remains in the world for some time even if I use /logout, which I always do.

I've had ALOT of problems with this. it used to be very instant pre P8 I think it was, then it got borked. I've filed a few tickets, and /bugged it but they don't seem to care much. I've experienced it taking 45 (yes 45!) minutes for my character to clear out of the world even as I was sitting in a camp (you're supposed to be in a camp to get it to work).

So my conclusion, /logout is bugged, don't expect it to help anything.

I've noticed that if you go AFK, and then the game boots you, that your position in the world is not removed until you close the SWG client/shut your machine off. I have a feeling that the server checks whether your client is still active...(I think you're still logged into the login server).

If it finds you still there thenit doesn't remove you from the game world,and if you reconnect you can get back in much faster.

I was accidentally left in the game world for hours (6 I think)because of this.
