Thread: Bugged stormtrooper and TEF?

Last night while walking through Kor Vella my wife (covert rebel) was stopped and inspected by a stormtrooper. She stopped and waited for him to finish...for over 5 minutes. As he didn't seem to be doing anything (but also hadn't said anything) she decided to leave, but as soon as she moved the trooper shouted that she was a rebel and the whole city attacked (she was the only person there). After killing all the troopers she went to Anchorhead (via Bestine and another fight with troopers) to see the rebel recruiter. He said it would take about an hour for her to be covert again.
Then she had to log out due to rl for an hour and a half.
When she logged back in she had no TEF and her char sheet said she was covert, so she went to Mos Eisley to use the Starport. She walked past many stormtroopers (who were white dots on the radar instead of yellow???) and they ignored her. As soon as she was about to use the starport terminal she was ganked by 6 imperial players wearing pieces of stormtrooper armour, and npc's then joined in (not that the npc's had time to do much in the few seconds it took 6 players to kill an unbuffed, unarmoured player who wasn't expecting an attack, and jump on her corpse spouting childish spam!)
So i have a few questions.
1. How long can it take for a stormtrooper to finish a check?
2. Does the time to become covert again include time not spent ingame?
3. Is the char sheet bugged or was she really covert?
4. Why were the troopers all white when they should have been yellow?
5. Is there any other way these "imperials" could have attacked her other than her being overt?
6. Why are species other than human allowed to wear stormtrooper armour?! Apart from it looking really stupid when a trandoshan wears it (with his feet sticking out) i thought stormtroopers were the empires elite? Would they allow non-humans to join?!

1. How long can it take for a stormtrooper to finish a check?
hes bugged, @ 1 min
2. Does the time to become covert again include time not spent ingame?
1 hour, you cannot log out, or its canclled
3. Is the char sheet bugged or was she really covert?
when u log in, you have a 1 min covert before you are again overt.
4. Why were the troopers all white when they should have been yellow?
more bugs

Yes, it resets the timer when you log out, the 1 min covert is just like if your overt and shuttle, you have 30 seconds(or whatever it is) for loading purposes before you are overt again.

She checked her char sheet a few times while travelling. At all times it said covert rebel.
4. Why were the troopers all white when they should have been yellow? Those are the specail NPC's that you cant attack even as an overt rebel
They were standard troopers. They attacked her when the players did, but ignored her before that.

Would they allow non-humans to join?! dark jedi (not sure, correct me if i am wrong, but the dark jedi in KOTOR are liked by the imps (or Sith... not a star wars history person) it would be unfair if different restrictions were put on ST armor imo
It may be unfair, but it's about time the devs kept the Star Wars feelof the game instead of catering to the players wishes....imo

the reason i doubt you is because i think it just seems like 5 minutes, but was less than that.
If you check it over and over again, and are covert, then stormies shouldbe yellow. When they go red, you are now overt. If they ignored her before, then it may be because she was far away, or was covert at the time. Maybe you couldn't attack because you don't have negative imp faction points? (i dont know if you do or not)
