I took a few months off from Star Wars, and came back to find all kinds of awesome loot and items had been added.
But, i'm wondering if it's still possible to get items I've seen but never actually aquired first hand ... ( ... mostly because I was too busy holo-grinding to actually PLAY the game ... it's not something I'm proud of ... )

Can anyone tell me anything about how to aquire the following items ?

1. Eye of Mesra - no idea
2. A Sith Altar - no idea
3. A Rare Artifact - Do missions for people with (a scientist) titles and you will get one as a reward.
4.A Palm Frond - no idea
5. Broken Ancient Light Sabre - go to Dathomir outpost and the guy near the mission terminal asks you to do something, you loot it off the person you have to kill
6. Loud Speakers ( and lots of them ) - old rebel themepark reward, dont now if you can get them anymore
7. Lytus Family Artifact- Imperial guy in the Dantooine Imperial outpost Cantina (or med center) his surname is Lytus, reward for his last mission
8. A Glowing Orb - Valarian themepark reward (In the Lucky Despot cantina)

9. An Old Pod Racer Helmet - From memory, it's been removed from the game but it was a quest from a guy somewhere on Tatooine.
10. A Decorative Sista - no idea

I'd really appreciate any kind of input on getting my hands on these on my own.

Hope that fills in the rest of the holes. Rumor has it the Eyes of Mesra and Palm Fronds are still available as random loot from gungan NPCs, but you'll take a faction hit from the flappy-eared types for that, obviously.

The (a criminal) missions were pretty random for a while, I haven't run them in ages (thug faction's too low to bother), but you could get shishas, loudspeakers, broken holocron shards, dark jedi medallions (that you can't wear), black sun medallions (ditto), locked briefcases, decorative bowls, and a whole slew of other decorative junk from the criminals in the Mos Taike cantina. Other criminals worked as well so long as they offered missions, I just found Taike to be the mecca of good low-end junk back in the day. Just be sure your Thug faction isn't 5000 in the hole or it could be a frustrating trip.
