ok I apologize if this isn't the right forum . . . .

my situation:

I had a level 10 pet. A gurreck created by a BE with great stats and bonuses. I used It alot (BTW I'm not a CH) but then soon after CU, I was unable to call him. I got the pop up window in regard to altering the pet or altering the stats. It was unable to alter the stats and it kept giving me an error message. I relectantly used the adjust pet option and it coverted his level from 10 to 31.

I obviously can't use him anymore and though it pained me, I went to a NPC creature handler trainer for the pet trade in. All I get is an "invalid trade" message.

So I'm not sure of what to do other than 1) try to get a CH to take him off my hands 2) delete him from my datapad and go on with my life in game 3) hold onto him with the rare chance that CSR might be able to help though I did send in tickets (after the whole search thing) and got the response of sorry we can't help you.

any suggestions?

I think I'd probably delete him, then get an exact clone made but at CL10

Oh, and go get a CH to name it again as before.

I had the same issue a while back.

Before CU I bought two great pets at 200K each. They were level 10 and had 8K health each. So great tanks.

A few weeks after CU, I also got that popup telling me that my pet had to be changed, giving some options to changed it. Unfortuatelly I'm not native english and I did not fully understand all this text, so I clicked on the first option. And boom, pet was set to be level 35. No way I could use it anymore.

So in fact I just destroyed it from my datapad.

I got the same message for my 2nd pet, but there I choose the other option, so he's still level 10, but with ridiculous stats. Certainly not a tank anymore

Overall, I'm sad. I had nice pets, but after those conversion, one was gone, and the other petwas way too low on health. Good job SoE for nerfing that...

The pet trade in system only works for pets with a level of 11-15. When you trade the pet you get in return will be like a fresh one from the wild. It won't have a name, it won't be mounted (if a mountable pet), and I believe it won't have any of the trained commands (not sure on this one). I believe the best option would be to delete the pet. A CH won't want it (unless they aren't templated yet) and a CSR won't help you.

I was a MCH for the CU and this happened to a few of my pets. One pet that I hadn't even used (I bought it a day or two before CU) went to level 200. On the other hand I had a Rancor that went from level 35 to level 69 and was one of the best pets i've ever seen. After dropping CH I tried the pet trade-in on a kaadu I have and I was sad to see it's saddle was gone. Now I can't trade it to a CH to have it mounted because I won't be able to take it back (I have 4 other pets in my datapad which exceeds the maximum of a non CH).

my non-CH has a CL13 dewback that he just tried to trade-in this morning. I received: "creature_tradein:[invalid]"

now this pet is between CL11-15 and my toon was non-CH so there should be no reason for it not to be valid. I submitted a ticket
