Thread: Problem completing Jatrian Lytus Quest

Hey all,
So here it is, I'm all excited that I'm soon to be the new owner of the Lytus Family Artifact...on my last mission from unky-dunky Lytus and all I gotta do is get the guy to hand me some measley holograms. I'm STYLIN (at least was my thought, amoungst others of which house do i want to display this beaut in...how many times should i do this so i could get more...) ANYWAY, away I trot to the wp where the holovid developer is...but WHOA! he's attacking me even before I get off my swoop...wait a minute, so i unarm myself...nope, still attacking me. So I equip my PH, and eep! I killed him.
I killed him not once, twice, not even four times - I'm on attempt #6 at the moment. I have done the following:
equip/unequip
armored/unarmored
natural scent/masked scent
tried typing /converse and /conversation from 30m (and under) away...I have killed him, and looted him...credits...credits, rebel transmission, credits, and (surprise) credits...no hologram to be seen.
Any help is appreciated!

I did this after about the third time and it worked for me, so I hope it helps you......
Tried the /conv trick from 30m out and he aggroed me anyway so I spammed peace and ran until he got tired of chasing me and returned to the spawn point, I then set /conv onto my top toolbar and turned off auto-run so I was walking slowly towards him, I started spamming /conv at about 50m and when I got to about 25 it let me finally finish the mission.
Oh, and you can only reset the mission once (with the Dant planetary record keeper in the MO), as far as I know....

What is a hologram?
And before you loot, target him, and type /conv.

I'm delighted to see the plans SOE has for the game, but it still seems funny that a bug like this is still a problem after all of this time. I'm sure I am missing something in saying that to me at least, it would seem that bug elimination that would allow the players to enjoy the content we already have, would come before trying to institute new things... I have tried everything on this list of suggestions for the last hour plus, and also added a /feign death /stand /conv to the list and still can not finish the quest

Well this might explain the problem... assuming its correct information. This guide says he is Thug faction and I'm -5000 FP with them. This might also explain why my wife was able to complete the mission without a hitch and I can not. Thus the bug might not be that he is attacking me, but rather that there is nothing in the game that says he is a thug. Wonder how the writer of that guide figured that out?

my bad.... as I kill him yet again in frustration, lol, the message does in fact say "You can not loose any more Thug faction" and "You can not gain any more Townspeople faction" - duh...

The Holovid developer belongs to Thug faction..., Cmdr. Lytus says that you need to go undetected because there might be rebels near by or something..., this is a hint.., that you must have postitive thug faction to speak with him...
I myself am trying to raise mine to do so 
And because it is needed for some other quests...
If your thug faction is at -5000 the /peace trick from 30m won't work..., though the /conv will... but you'll need alot of luck to do this.., and guess you got it..
You could also do the /conv after you killed him and you always get the item you need to deliver.. though strangely even though now you have the item you need.., speaking back to cmdr. Lytus he takes the mission as faild..., even with the item on your inventory.. witch is pretty silly..., but then again.. the trick is aswell..

Where and with what NPC does this start again? I've seen it before, but forgot.
