Thread: Helper Droid... how to get rid of one... ?

Well... its mostely like the title says..., I've recently gone back to medic, and there is that lovely droid again... though.., I haven't went novice on a profession over a couple of months now.. so probably something was changed consearning the helper droid..
It used to simply dissapear after the first time where you would destroy it on your datapad...
Though now he simply just keeps comming back everytime I re-log.
I've tryed everything..., even keeping him on the datapad for more then a week.., and he still came back after I destroyed him..
So.., I am in need of some help here..., what is one to do now to get rid of this

think we need to start a dev thread and ask that the silly thing be like any other droid, only out if we ASK it to be, and definately destroy when we destroy it. I mean, if we actually want the silly thing and we did destroy it, like go get a nov in something again for 100 credits or whatever and *POOF* you get it right? lol
Anyways, it does seem to eventually let u destroy it, just takes longer than a week but forget how long, sorry. You can also do one or two of the missions and then it seems to be satisified and go away

I have the same problem, I changed one of my charicters around and picked up Medic and cant get rid of the darn droid and this has been about a month now. I delete the thing at least 2 or 3 times a day.

Ye.. exactly... its unbelivable.., I've left it on the datapad for over more then a week and he still came back..
This is a pathetic change the DEV's made.. up to some months ago he would dissapear in an instant once I destroyed him the first time..
I'll try doing some quests..., if you say that helps.., though I am very pessimistic that it is there to stay...
If any have more thoughts on this, please reply.., I am realy desperate to get rid of it... And CAN'T !

The way I understood it was if you have play 10 hours in game, then you could delete the droid unit for good. But it comes back with every novice basic skill you learn. So my best guess is that if it keeps coming back after receaving itthatyou need to play 10 hours with that new novice skill tree!?
Everytime I delete it, it stays gone, but ive been playing for about a year.

Well thats what i thought too butI have had this droidfor over a month I have trained 2 skills since picking up Novice medic andI have had this toon for almost a year and it keeps coming back, I think they broke something.

Working as designed... it sure as hell isn't... unless the "design" is meant to for the droid to always keep returning...
Ye.., I've been online for over 10 yours yesterday..., and deleted him in the end... guess what...
He's back today
I see now there is no way to get rid of it..., this surely is a glitch of some sort, or something that.. well at least I am not aware of how it works, that the DEV's have placed in some patch...
It honestly wasn't like this a couple of months ago.., that I am sure of.., I have been medic before.., and even the first time when I chose novice, the droid dissapeared right after the first time I deleted him... yet now.., he still comes back..
Keep posting.., Hopefully we'll get some feedback...

You mean the "Green helper droid from Hell?"
It should only concern newbie charcters

I was getting sick of that pos droid myself. The dang thing would not stay away. SO i submitted a ticket and they told me you have to be online for 10 hours and it will stay gone. WRONG. I deleted then kept my char online for a consecutive 21 hours. Next time i logged in the stupid thig was back. Followed up my ticket and they closed the ticket a saying it is working as designed or come crap.

Have you tried doing all the missions it provides?
They're not that hard, and once they're done it should stay deleted until you pick up a new novice skill.

I think this may be what causes it. I deleted mine awhile ago on my main character, and it stayed gone forever, then on my other character I did the same and it stayed gone until I picked up novice entertainer, then dropped it and it decided to think I was still an entertainer, now I can't get rid of the stupid thing.

whats even better is if you have another droid out when you complete the quest
i managed to master doctor and not finish the medic quest.
if your character is after pub 9 i think you are stuck with it
