Thread: Is Pettrade-in working or not?
May be one reason why they disabled it, too buggy

I remember a friend of mine played the SWG beta a while back and i gave him a cupe he could play around with. He goes to a trainer and trades it in, and does he get back a nice little red cupa? heck no! he gets a black ugly kwi with 100 ham thats just crap!

Well, it was like that from the day they first brought the feature into the game. I traded in a nice bantha who I had for a long time until they lowered the level of creatures the non Creature Handlers could use and suddenly I couldn't use him. I figured they would give me a smaller bantha in trade, but nooooooo. I get a Lesser Bol. (which I already had one of)
They never made it so you'd get the same type of creature back, they just made it so you'd get something vaguely similar. Example... CuPa = 24 legged pet, Kwi = 2 legged pet; Bantha = 4 legged pet, LesserBol = 4 legged pet
Oh, but yeah, it's broken now. Could we get it fixed at least to the way it used to be? Or change the message so it's not telling us to do something that we can't do?

how do people get mounts? since you can no longer just buy them off a bio-engineer vendor (i have yet to see one that is less than level 28)..
Some mounts are naturally level 10 or under. The Lesser Bol comes to mind. You have to buy them from a Creature Handler or have something Bio Engineered for you. I recently got a Bio Engineered Cu Pa mount from a Bio Engineer and he was able to engineer him so that the level was exactly 10 and at the same time he was able to give him great stats. That's the benefit of Bio Engineering. I would go someplace with lots of people and do a search for a CH or BE and ask them about what they can make or train for you, or next time you visit a Bio-Engineer's vendor, see if something gives his name and send him an email requesting what you want. Usually the good ones can make almost any creature a level 10. It might take them a week or so to gather the right DNA samples, and will generally cost you a fair amount of credits.
I got a level 10 CuPa with 10k Health, 6k Action, and 6k Mind,60% Kinetic resist, 40% blast resist, dizzy strike, poison, and he's my new mount. I love him. Of course, I did have to spend a good sum on him. I paid 700k. But that's not too bad really. He rocks! ![]()
In short, you should talk to the people that make and train these things and they should be able to help you.
