Thread: New Space Expansion Planets?

This kind of runs on the same line as the SE species thread.


First of all, I don't yet know for sure if they are going to be included, but we can run on the hypothesis that they will include 4 or 5. What ones would you want? I have come up with a few so far:


Sullust - A volcanic, yet relatively habitable planet, home to the Sullustians. Included in original Rouge Squadron game. Rebel presence.


Coruscant -The capital of the Galaxy. Hunting would be kind of tough, but urban fighting would be pretty cool. Big Imperial presence.


Kashyyyk - Judging by the relative lameness of the Ewok tree Villages, this would be a welcome inclusion. Difficult, high exp creatures on deadly forest floor. See Knights of the Old Republic.


What other planets would you guys like to see? Chandrilla? Ord Mantell?

HOTH! We need a snowy land to offset the steaming jungles and desert wastelands =)

Hoth, Dagobah to name a few ...Coruscant would be cool.... CPU might burn up though

I can think of a bunch of the top of my head...


Which would INCLUDE the Corporate Sector regardless of it being a zone of the galaxy.


Anyways...


Bothawui-Bothan home planet. Dunno about the planet details.


Mon Calamari - Home to the, duh, Mon Cals. Mostly, duh, water, and cities would have to be underwater, like the Gungan cities, with a oxyegen bubble surrounding city(or something).


Also Tralus, Selonia, and Drall, completing the Corellian Sector of space.


And of course, Rodia, home to our friends the Rodians.

Thinking about game balance, a planet with climates close to "Canadian/Arctic Winters " would be nice. The snow would be a welcome addition. All we see is wasteland, desert, swamps, and errrr forest (dathomir). Does Endor have snow, I still haven't visited Endor Dathmir or Yavin IV...

By the way. Coruscent is out of the question, guarenteed. With all those buildings?! The entire planet is one huge city! My Pentium 3 750 practicly blows up just visiting Coronet, Corellia on lowest possible detail!

And Hoth would be nothing but ice. What would be the point. Echo Base? Pish, this game takes place before between A New Hope and ESB. Luke crash lands on Hoth and finds a human replica droid of a Imp commander stranded on Hoth, Luke kills the droid, and suggests Hoth to General Rieekan.


The Essential Chronology has all the answers.

I say no to Dagobah aswell, only two people know of it. Yoda and Obi-Wan.

..Man.. Coruscant would be a killer of a planet if it were included... They could pack so much content( or could they? on that planet there would be no need to go elsewhere. Just kidding...On a serious note Coruscant a planet that is all city. They would have to have the right tools in place to get that one up.


Possibilties: Underground sewer system where gangs and other seedy sorts are located. A fun place to hunt a bounty mark- A BH chasing their mark all accross a city planet. For developers to build this planet in game there would have to be justification behind it in my opininon. What else can you do besides chase marks, or go underground? Theres politics and commerce but what else?


I hope there will be at least one snow planet in expansion and if you are not a Wookie you have to wear a weather coat or over a long period of time be penalized on certain stats unless you are wearing a cold weather coat or armor.


I also hope the new planets have a real alien design to them..exotic alien killer plants..honeycomed mines or caverns...Alien archtiecture...


The current planets in the game are some what different looking but I can see similarity in building design. I could ramble on about this whole similarity thing on architecture design and not enough aline feelbut I have tolog....

Kashyyyk would be neat too.


That planet from Jedi Academy.. Korribon or something (the sith burial place)


Myrkr(I think it is called), where Talon Karrde had his smuggling place set up, with the Ysalamiri creaturesthat block out the force O__O

MON CALAMARI ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

other ideas:


-Kessel. dudes with ships could try a kessel run or smugglers or both or whatnot

-they definitly need to let guys in ships navigate the hoth asteroid feild, and therefore hoth

-BESPIN! we could visit the mining platforms, and if they make an atmospheric fligh in ships, the cluds would be fun to navigate

-Try Geonosis, could have renegade battle droids, and ive always wanted to kill those bug dudes. the factories would make good POI

-I'm with Ord Mantell. itdwould be cool, with a bunch of dif climates

-KAMINO!!! one giant cloning facility

-Haruun Kal
