Thread: Hermit Quest Question

I heard that you can do each quest to get each mark without talking to the Hermit (which must be true seeing as I've got two already). But what I wanted to make sure before I get any furthur was that will I still be able to get the "Hero of Tatooine" mark/badge even if I don't talk to the hermit before I get each mark (and speak with the hermit after I get all the marks)? Or do I have to talk to the hermit each time?

you only got to talk to the hermit twice, 1st: to qualify for the quest 2nd: to get the Hero badge itself, you dont need to keep talking to the hermit after each quest

So you have to talk to him first, eh?
I talked to him awhile ago and he gave me the mission to bring him back the skull. I haven't brought him back the skull yet and thought I'd do it after I got the fourth mark. Think that would mess it up in any way?

Sounds like it would, considering it is supposed to go in that order. I would suggest taking him the skull and then trying to get the others. Since you did not do them in order, it sounds like you might not be able to receive the "Hero of Tatoinne" badge, but I honestly do not know.

I've gotten the mark of intellect on both of my characters. One had talked to the hermit, one hadn't

If you were given the four reward pieces from the four quests, can you finish the hermit quest for the rez ring without doing the four other quests? This seems a cheap way of doing things, so I figured the pieces would be non-tradable/droppable. But I have seen them dropped on disply. Just wondering if is is possible since I saw them dropped in a house

I don't think so.... The hermit quest pieces are meant for decoration for your house or guildhalll. He doesn't ask for the pieces to prove you have done the quest he "just knows" or keys off the badges you get.... good thought though.

For that matter, if you haven't received one of the pieces due to full inventory, he'll give it to you.

the pieces are also untradeable...you can drop them in a house where you have admin rights, but only you can pick them up. Also, the house cannot be transferred with them in there, nor can you use the droid trick.
