What profession uses carbonite ore, what do they use it for, and do stats count? If so, which ones are most important?

I think it's 99% Architects who use Carbonate Ore but since I am neither Armorsmith nor Tailor, nor Shiwpwright I can't tell if they won't have a use for it (though I highly doubt there are many Tailor schematics that use stone
Architects need it for generator turbines which are used in nearly all houses and harvester structures but they don't need to be of high quality so this could be neglected. As a general rule Architect schematics need Unit Toughness, Overall Quality and Shock/Heat resistance.

Shipwrights do use it, but I don't recall the relevant stats. OQ, UT maybe??? Check the Shipwright forums there's a sticky that gives the needed stats for all the raw material.

SW can use it, you need it to make any of the guns. high OQ,SR,UT and HR i think. but always a high OQ. SW uses the most units, and i dont think architect needs 'carbonite' specific ore for much.

WS use it for advanced blaster power handlers(ABPH)so it's an important resource for them. The only stat that matters is OQ in this case. In the future I'd suggest using swgcraft.com and do a search under resource usage. This will give you a pretty complete list of any schematic (some loot schems are not listed)for which that resource is used along with the relevant stats needed. You can also look at the resource tree and see that carbonate ore is a subcategory of Low Grade Ore meaning carbonate ore can be used in schematics calling for LGO.
If you want to take it a step further and evaluate the quality of that resource for certain schematics relative to previous spawns then use the find resources function. Since only OQ matters for carbonate for that schem (conductivity is relative to the other resources needed for that component but does not pertain to ore since it has no conductivity) you just select Carbonate ore and then enter 100 for OQ and do your search. Make sure to designate your server under settings so it only look at resources on your server. Then when the search is done go to the OQ column and click on the bottom arrow at the top of the column. That will sort from best to worst for that stat. If you are evaluating a resource that uses more than one stat, just sort the rating column as that will figure the value based on the percentages you entered for the relative stats. Now you know not only what the resource is used for but how it compares to previous spawns, giving you a sense of its worth is you are trying to decide whether to mine it or want to sell some you have on hand. As a WS, I use this feature constantly to evaluate new resource spawns.

I've used swgcraft.com but have found it to be unreliable. Maybe I'm spoiled by asiabrothers.com, which is a site listing current resources just for the Tempest server. It's NEVER wrong LOL.
Thanks everyone for the info!

I have found a few errors in the schematic listings, which haven't been corrected dispite notes from members below them, but otherwise I typically find it to be an outstanding site... especially seeing as we don't pay to use it...
