I know that they fixed scatter/combo hits a while back since they were bypassing toughness. Back then, there was talk that these hits could NOT be dodged or counterattacked. I was wondering if this was true, and if it is still true? If this is not the case, is there any advantage to using these type of hits other than the damage that they do to the mind pool?

Any help would be appreciated.

So far as I know, they no longer bypass secondary defenses or toughness, but will still bypass defensive buffs like synthsteak or flameout. But they can no longer bypass dodge/counterattack/block.

So, is there any real reason to use these type of specials? I can't seem to find a good purpose for them.
