Thread: Need advice on the Corvette...

Regarding the space Corvette mission to get the Heavy X-Wing. My friend and I go to the corvette and disable its escorts. We position ourselves behind the (still friendly) corvette and open up on turret #5. One of two things happens: 1) no damage is dealt and eventually the vette flies off, or 2) We minimally damage turret #5 and then, for no reason, we can no longer inflict damage and eventually the vette flies off.
Anyone had this problem? If we focus on the shields, nothing. We've tried multiple combinations of his shooting first, or my being the only one to shoot, etc, and still we cannot damage the ship. And yet there was one time where we destroyed turret 5 before the ship stopped taking damage.
Do the escorts have to be destroyed first? Is there something we're missing? Does it sound bugged to you?
Any and all help/advice would be much appreciated. BTW, I'm a 4/4/3/4 with the heavy x-wing and my friend is 4/4/3/3 trying to get the heavy x-wing.

Are you actually shooting at the different components? The only way I see you not being able to do it is that you're following it while shooting it. With the corvette, you need to actually aim for the different components to disable them. The only way you could damage it from following it from behind is to use missiles on the different components.
Laser fire needs line of sight, missiles don't. That's the only thing that I think you could be doing, unless something is seriously bugged for you.
