Ok, here's the deal, I got jedi on my main character, made my alt rebel then got freelance pilot 3222, i went to the queen in theed palace and talked to her, i got the quests and was on my way I managed to complete ALL the quests and recieved the ARC 170, at this time i didnt have the cert to use the arc 170, i decided to drop freelance and just do Imperial storm sqaudron, well here i am 4333 in skills tried to unpack the deed and it says "you have not completed the quest needed to fly this ship". What can i do?

I'm pretty sure you have to be Rebel pilot 4xxx to call the ARC170 deed after completing the quest, not Imperial

Imperials also have Certificate to fly this ship.
Anyway, this belongs in the Pilot Forum. Known Issue.

yes but having the cert isn't currently the same as being able to call the deed..
rebels wanting the Eta2 Actis Interceptor would have to be Imperial 4xxx and do the quest to call the deed, and then switch to rebel pilot, but not able to fly it again until 4xxx rebel pilot

I also have this problem.
I've always been Rebel. I did the quest for the Queen and received the
ARC-170. I flew her around for a few days then decided to bite the bullet
and drop Rebel pilot and my Rebel Colonel rank to do the quest for the
eta-2.
I had to redeed the ARC-170 so that I could add a grinding ship for
when I re-mastered Rebel pilot.
When I came to re-generate the ARC-170 after mastering Rebel pilot
again I got the message about not doing the quest.
After looking into it I believe the Devs are aware of the problem and are
no doubt working on a fix. Though when we'll see it I have no idea.

I'm a CorSec Ace Pilot (Freelance) and had no problems wtih either the ARC-170 or the Eta-2 deeds. I joined the Rebels, did the quest and got the deed from the queen. Then I dropped Rebel and went Imperial (mind you this is ground faction, in space I'm still CorSec Freelance), did the quest, met with a dark man in a basement and got the Eta-2 deed (then kicked Rebel butt when they tried to invade Kashyyyk!).
I fly both on a regular basis (though my gunners tell me that they don't like the turrets on the ARC-170). I don't think you need to be an Imperial pilot, though to switch to Imperial you need to give up all Rebel faction standing including pilot. I would imagine you could do it without any piloting skills at all.
I could be wrong though... But it would be a shame to grind up to 4xxx Imperial without needing too...
PS- if you poke Darth Vader (on Kashyyyk) in the ribs or give him a hug his uptight bodyguards fine you lots of money and you can lose faction too! I thought this was funny but figured they'd shoot me next if I didn't quit.
