I have heard of people adding other server friends to their lists. I can't seem to get it to work with /addfriend servername.charname (which I thought was logical).

To my understanding that is the way to do it. I haven't done it in a while so my memory is a little foggy. Anyway, if it doesn't work, try putting the name first and then the server. make sure you spell the name right including any apostraphe's, hyphens, spaces and stuff. other than this I'm not sure. I really do think it's servername.charactername.
Oh you could try just putting it in the box where you add friends under the ctrl-p menu. I did a few that way instead of using the command line.

Make sure you're spelling the servername right.
the proper command is like
/add kettemoor.jasen
(he's in my friends list too, so it does work
, tells/mails are the same way, just do /tell kettemoor.jasen instead)
also if you want to add friends from a diferent game (that's run by swg) you type /add gamename.servername.charname
like...
/add eq2.(whatevertheserveriscalled).jasen
hope that helps,

Thanks guys, I am going to try it again but I am pretty sure I did that. They end up on my friends list now, but it does not allow me to send them any messages and such and does not notify if online or not (not sure if that works though).

I think you have to capitalize when sending tells cross server:
/t Bloodfin.Bob heyas!
will work but
/t bloodfin.bob heyas!
wont O.o
Also if you are having trouble with the /addfriendcommand,do it in the actual friends listdisplay. Gorath.George for the name will add them there.

To get the message telling you they are online, you have to click there name in your friends list and then click the check box at the bottom of the screen that says to alert you when friends are online, then click modify. I'm not sure if you can add the alert from the command bar. At least I don't recall seeing a command for it.
