The Star Wars Galaxies Wiki project has been growing steadily over the past few months, with around 1100 articles on everything from SWG's various professions to a catalogue of the notes for every publish ever released for the game. Sixty-seven users have signed up and made significant contributions to the project, with new editors joining every day.

Although much of the Wiki's content is adapted from other internet sources (including this forum), we do have a handful of unique game guide articles that everyone can benefit from reading. These include:

  • Weapon attack accuracy equations: a discussion of the rules that govern your chance to hit a target in combat;
  • Damage mitigation rules: clear, concise explanations of how mitigation works and what considerations you need to account for when selecting weapons and skills;
  • JTL ship damage basics: how your ship's shields and armor help protect your components from damage, and how those components malfunction as damage is accrued.
This is just a small selection of the content available at SWG Wiki. Why don't you stop by some time and check it out? And while you're at it, be sure to contribute something... every edit helps in expanding the ultimate peer-reviewed SWG resource!

Sorry, but what's a Wiki?
A Wiki is an online encyclopedia that anyone can add to and edit, often catering to a specific set of information (like a video game or software project). The most famous Wiki is the Wikipedia, whose goal is the complete cataloging of human knowledge in a free website accessible to all. We at SWG Wiki are much more modest: we simply want to provide a medium for people to contribute their specialized knowledge of SWG in a clean, attractive website that doesn't suffer from the advertisements and subscription services of other sites.
