Yes, this shows how much of an addict I am. As a player of this game from Day-1 and watching this game evolve, I sorta started this today.
I was sitting at my pc playing hooky from work, well actually was connected to work on one pc, and goofing off on another, I started to take my .NET programming to the Pocket PC world.
I haven't done much windows form programming in .NET mostly web applications so this will be my 2nd windows app and the first for the Pocket PC.
I gathered up some info on loot from game guides and other forums and threw a small bit of info in a database file and opened up my Studio2003 and started designing. The initial design is somewhat flakey but you get the picture. Once this is someone done, I can put it available for download then update the pocket access file for ppl to download and sync with thier handheld.
The next project (already in investigation) will be for the wireless ppl out there and would connect to swgcraft.com and be used as a resource data tool. Ya know, for you addicts like me that wanna check available resources while walking around the mall or whatever LOL.
Anyway, here's a couple screenies on what I've done so far. Once complete I will need to gather up some info on loot to add to the database, or add a data update tool so you yourself can update the db and share it with others.

Sweet! What would it take to port this over to PalmOS5?
Yeah, I only have a Palm Tungsten T3.

Since I am using .NET and the data adapter is PocketAccess based (utilizing ADOCE) more than likely not. Then again, I dunno, I have developed "goof off" Flash programs for Palm but the data would be hard coded.
I'd have to look into it, but not sure. If I'm not mistaken the Tungsten is Linux based, so maybe there's a way to run PocketPC application inside of it. Since there's a way to install linux on pocket pc's (I wouldn't try it for fear I'd mess it up) I wouldn't see why there wouldn't be a way to run this on a linux based handheld.

This is nice, I will be keeping my eye on this, I keep my pocket PC near my computer so this would be great.

Anymore work been done on this?
I was looking forward to it.
I have another cool idea. I'm to lazy to develop it myself. I like to quit coding when I get home from work. How about a skill builder for the PPC? It would be really nice if it could sync with the actually SWG files to keep it up to date.
