I'm interested in finding out what people use to play SWG on (no smart comments here lol) and please TELL the truth as its an interesting why to find out how people cope with lesser systems compered.
I run SWG on:-
Windows XP Home SP2
AMD Athlon XP 1800+ ~1.53GHz
768 DDR 2100 ram,
50GB Westendigital HDD with 8MB cache,
Soundblaster Live 5.1 Platnem,
Creative GeForce 4 Ti 4400 AGP 4x,
512kb DSL,
Oh and a crapy 15in CTR monitor (but sometimes I'll hockup the T.V)

AMD Athlon 2800+ @ 2.08 ghz
1 gig Kingston SD RAM
7200 RPM, 40 gig WD HDD
AGP Radeon X800 Pro 256
AC 97' onboard sound
21" Standard No Brand Monitor @1024x768 (IG)
Also using MS Force feedback for JTL (Force Feeback #1, not #2)
512 KB DSL (I got turned down for a 1.5 Meg Cable line last week
Damn credit ratings)
First to admit, my processor is the weak link. 1.5 gig of ram wouldn't go amiss either.
Chose the X800 Pro over the XT because the price difference: performance ratio was small compared to the X800 pro & 9800XT.
Would still like an XT if I can afford it one day.
Next upgrade is soundcard, followed by processor, followed by plasma screen (Plasma panel = me dreaming, we all gotta dream though right)
I started playing on:
AMD Duron 900 mhz,
256 MB No brand RAM
Slow assed 24 gig HDD
GeForce 4 MX440 128
AC'97 Onboard Sound
21" Standard No Brand Monitor @1023x768 (IG)
MS FF #1
56k Dialup
Frame rates were increased hugely by upping to a gig of ram, compared the the processor, graphics card, and HDD upgrade, all of which the performance increases were hardly noticable. Ping went down by around 75-85 on the Kauri server from an Italian based Dialup to a UK based 512kb DSL. (Zen.co.uk)
