As the SWG economy continues to crash myself and guildmates findthat more and more people arent honoring there auctions. This is so frustrating, especially when you see people posting on the auctions "send mea PM, I'll buy it" when that person could bid on it just like everyone else. The thing is, if these people running these auctions do this, they completely eliminate any chance that the person that wonthe auction would have paid more than this person that wins by PM.
So what I am trying to say here is, if someone isnt willing to bid on your auction then they are trying to take advantage of you andthey are not doing you a favor even if there offer is more than the current bid.
Finally does anyone have any advice for dealing with these deadbeat auctioneers? I have tried civil PM's after an auction stating that I will pay more than the offers that were PM'd even though this leaves me open to extortion but this doesnt even seem to work.

Please provide supporting arguments to the "online economic crash". Those are strong words my friend. As for deadbeats, begin your list of banned bidders and post them in your sig.

Works both ways as well, I just had someone back out of an auction that I clearly won, because they didnt get enough money out of it. IMO I would rather just not bother dealing with people at all if that were to become the norm.

crashing is probably the wrong word to use since no one is going to lose there job as a rifleman, or fencer hehe. I am not really going to get to upset about this, but I will probably bump the auction for a few days. I can understand people not being happy with a sale price but it would be nice if they could at least be civil enough to discuss afterwards, or to even more intelligently increase there min bids. That sure seems like the easiest way to avoid these situations.

Thanks for the advice, I'll get to work on that immediately. I am pretty sure insults are more indicative of immaturity than discussing something on the message boards, although I do think the roleplaying a deadbeat comment is kind of funny.
And I do think items are fetching far less than they have in the past. I am seeing fire dot weapons selling for about 20 million less than they would a month ago, 2 handed speed attachments now going for 800k-1 million a point. If you dont think the economy has crashed then check out the trade boards.

OK, we're getting into semantics here. A crash by definition is a sudden failure so we both agree that the economy has not yet failed.
I believe the economy is in a beneficial and much needed transition. There's no need to sell a speed attachment for these outrageous prices. Lower prices mean more enjoyment for all. And I'm no communist by any means. I'm simply thinking game wise.
But unless it's against the rule, I would post the name of the deadbeats in your sig. I've seen it done before and it is very dramatic.

I am not sure of a crash, but prices are definitly changing, and i do agree with the poster many auction lately are just not being honored. I have won a few where the seller just disappears and you never hear frm them, or you get the oh yeah i forgot i had them up for auction and gave them to a guildie, when you know he just wasnt happy with the sale price. But as somone else said, what can yo do, it is a game, you just have to try again. And i am not sure but i think putting the names in your sig might not be a good idea.
Best of luck to those out there still buying and selling.
