I am a Weaponsmith and Looking to try another crafting Elite, I was wondering which one had the best market to go into, As a WS you can only sell some of your weapons to newbies, But I was thinking tailor, I have always liked helping people look cool and messing round with hundreds of colors, Plus because of no experimentation bonusall clothing is same ( mostly atleasat ), So whatcha all think?

If you are looking to make money I would say armorsmith. But if you like tailor and want to do that then go for it.

I was a Tailor for 8 months. The market is so flooded with clothing, your chances at making money off this prof is pretty nil. It IS fun though. I enjoyed it immensly. Toss it in with Master ID and you have better chances at commanding higher profits. Good luck

I was Tailoring for over a year, myself. It's quite enjoyable most of the time. Just keep your ignore list handy for the times it isn't and you'll be fine. It's the easiest elite profession to get into when it comes to materials, for sure.

there are tailors all over on all servers and due to the fact you can wear clothes with -999 condition and any skill mod on them still works its not gona make you rich quick as most people will get away with one outfit and you say tailor isnt competative what about bio engineered clothes to compeat you need to find a chep tissue suplyer other wise your prices will be far too high.

I'll agree with you upto a point but yes, Architect is a worthwhile prof to get into. Good money to be made.

There's another option: smuggler is a semi-crafting profession. The spice market is dead, but you can still sell slicing tools. It's even less profitable than tailor (I was a master tailor for a few months), but it's also even simpler. Slicing tools also have no quality involved, and you have only a few different items to stock, without having to worry about the large number of clothing items and colours: the selection of clothing options can eat up vendor item allowance fast, if you don't have a good amount of merchant skills.

The distinctive thing about tailor is it's a very creative profession, maybe the most creative of them all. Being a good tailor (especially for custom appointments) takes an eye for colours and styles, even though it doesn't take experimentationSEAs and quality resources.

armorsmith and shipwright currently bring in the best money. Though shipwright wont make much except with newbs soon because, architect, it was gimped to have no decay.
