I'm writing a rather extensive guide for newer players right now.. roughly 8 pages and growing lol.. one of the questions I'm trying to get answers for though is how you, as a newer player on a server with NO friends, contacts, guild mates or any connections at all, would make money. From your starting credits of til your 100,000th credit. How would you go about making money.
I'm looking for various methods from Combat professions, medical professions, artisans, etc.. and not just standard answers either.. I'm talking more technique and method rather than, "harvest and sell meats" or "run missions" heh.. please be at least moderately creative.
I've got my own answers which I've actually just posted over in another thread at IGN but I'm looking for more. I doubt the 6 or 7 ways that I listed are all the ways to make cash as a newer player.
Any help would rock.
Thanks!

A good way is to pick up all the 6 novice professions, so you can get credits for all 6 helpder droid quests. Then use your rental bike and take 2 Recon Missions at a time in the same direction. Recon are found at explorer terminals, but are different. They give around 1200 per payout, and all you have to do is go to the WP and mission done. Once you can afford some armor, get a stat migration. Raise your mind to around 900 -1000. Then go to Dantooine, get in a solo group, and go back to Corellia, and run missions from there. You should run recon missions to pay for the buffs, trip, and armor. The missions should not be too hard if you have box 3 in a combat skill. (Oh, you should only do the missions once you have box 3 or above in a weapons box, and have a good, speed sliced new weapon.
Pistol = Scout Blaster
Carbine = Laser
Rifle = Laser (target lair and PBA1 and you will not miss)
Unarmed = VK (even tho you have no cert)
1-handed= Gaderiffi Baton
2-handed = Curved Sword
Polearms = LVA

As a new player completely on your own, the best way to make money is to run Artisan Survey missions. Find a good 80% spot of a resource (inert gas works well) that's roughly 1100m outside of a City. Use your speederbike from the droid quests to run the missions over and over until you've got enough to afford a swoop. Then continue on until you can afford basic needs, etc. Worked wonders while starting up on TC.

No, you get the credits for as many n00b quests as you take. You do not get more than one speeder, travel ticket, or cloning ticket though.
However, I did once get three packs of fireworks, was nice.

Sounds like listening to that little droid can be fairly profitable.. I've never even looked at it.
Aside from that, are there really any other ways that come to mind?

Whenever I roll a new character I take droid quests for each of my starting professions and immediately join the nearest mountain squill hunting group. Within an hour you can have up to something like 30,000 credits and a bunch of low level skill boxes.

In that situation I would start by doing all the droidmissions then start doing 2.5k artisanmissions and survey while you wait at the shuttleportsuntil you can afford some decent harvesters then sell the resources on the bazaar or by shouting.
