Thread: Bug? Or Working as intended? (about buffs dropping when logging)

They didn't used to, but now when my SWG crashes, and I have to resart my computer, when I get back on, my buffs are gone. I know this didn't use to happen. Did they nerf this? Or just a bug?

Yeah I had the same thing happen to me a few days ago. I sent in a bug report.......

I've started doing "buff insurance" for a little extra if they pay by bank transfer if their buffs die in that time period they can get reimbursed.
Within 10 mins: 3K
Within 20 mins: 4K
Within 30 mins: 5K
Within 1 hour: 7K
After that its the normal price.
either way it's annoying that I have to do this for people who have to worry about going LD.

I know it used to happen a while ago and it really pissed people off so petition after petition got it changed so your buffs were still there when you went LD, mine don't go poof when I crash out, just the timer display. I can live with that.

they only drop if you are off line for @ 10-15 min.
...and its a great way for crafters to clear a full tummy after alot of crafting food without waiting 45 min.

ok, if you guys check the knowledge base ingame in the holocron, you'll see that they specifically say that they will clear buffs to optimize the servers. you can go offline for about 5-10 minutes but they will clear after that. it IS working just like it says it works.
