My friend joined SWG last night and I spent the whole night explaining as much of the game as I could to him. By not doing much for one day and sharing objects and money with someone else, my credits have started to dwindle a bit. So today I was going to get some buffs and go hunt and fill some of my meat contracts. My question is if I should bring my friend along with me. He is going to go Master Marskman then BH and right now all he has is Rifle I. I can get buffs for the both of us and I had planned on hunting pikets on Dant for meat. What will my friend get as far as xp goes from being with me killing these things. I know he won't cause much damage at all but the buffs should keep him alive. Is it worth bringing him along for the xp. I know I will get alot less meat then normal because I have him trailing with me and I am a ranger so I am to used to hunting alone. I have one last question, should I just let me attack one piket while I kill the rest so he gets more xp from when that one dies?

Chances are hell get a couple hundred xp while you get thousands, unless you purposely dont use your special attacks. This technique of course will leave you both in relative danger as you let him try to cause more damage and thus get more xp. He may be better of on a main planet such as Tatooine, Naboo or Corellia alone or in a young fledgling group as they will all cause about the same damage and share xp more evenly. I almost always level up my skills for basic professions running small missions out of Mos Eisley, then get into tougher mountain squill groups there. Hope this helps.

So your saying that he'll probly get just as much xp from killing the little things? Also I guess I should of said this b4 but this is basically his first time playing a game like this. I am just now getting him into playing these sort of games and any games actually. I really was wanting to know if he will get sufficient xp with me because I don't thinkhe is ready to face a group alone right now and I wanted to give him a first hand experience on oneof the ways he can make money and the way that I do make money while training him at the same time. This is just gonna be for today and after we finish hunting I'll let him go back to doing little creatures missions from the terminals.

I would take him along! My friend and I did this with 2 newb friends of ours. We just agro the group and then peace, so we didnt attack at all. With pickets this is no problem you will hardly feel the hits. Since he is going for bh this would really help out his scout xp and speed up the whole marksman process as well. He should get about 250-800 rifle xp and about 250 scout xp per. So the point I am making is that any newb who you do this for should love you to death. Also this should help your meat gathering because you can both take missions in the same direction giving you 4 instead of 2. Hope this helps you decide what to do.

Ok, I think I will take him along. I completely forgot about us both being able to get missions...that will help alot. Ty for the info.

I'd let him get at least to rifle/pistol/ carbine 3, because you'll get XP so fast he'll be looking for training too much unless you can train him.

Ya thats a very good point. I, unfortunatly, surrendered all my marksman skills so I would not be able to teach him. Are there trainers on Dant? I never really looked for basic trainer before. If there isn't, maybe one of my guild members will be close by with the right skills and could train him.

I would say yes bring him or heralong.
Similar situation for me recentlya friend of mine came back(I know I know...)
I explain to him whats new and such we buff I buy him some decent comp and we are off to Dant.Smuggler City(adv job market) grabbing piket missions.
I would have my friend hit one of the critters and let him work on it while I wouldfinish the lair and spawns before he coulddrop the one he was working on.Also from time to time I would peace out and let them all agro my buddy we both found it humorous.
Then he would go around and harvest for scout xp.Just keep an eye on your friend and bail him out if he gets too much agro on him.

Sounds perfect. I have the Rescue skill so I have alot better chance at saving him with it. I will definetly take him with me today. Ty you all for your opinions and such,
