Thread: Respawn rates in caves?

Over the last few days I've been to the A'akuan cave on Talus (before and almost directly after server reset), the Hutt cave on Tat, the Tusken bunker on Tat, the Tusken Fort on Tat, and the Beetle Cave on Tat. ONLY, the Tusken Fort and Beetle cave actually had spawns...


What is the deal here? Are there respawns occuring in the above mentioned sites, and any other caves? If there are, then what is the approxiamate respawn time?


As mentioned above, I went to the A'akuan cave just after server reset and was EXTREMELY surprised to find it EMPTY....

there are many many threads on the forums that say the POI spawn rate is 'bugged'. currently most POIs are spawning once per server reset (or so i've read - seems to coincide with what i've seen)

The reason they are empty is because people( A lot of europeans on our server) log in at server restart, in the cave, and clean them out. I was tired of missing content so this weekend I did this. When I logged in, there was already 5 other people logged in, talking in some funky language to each other, and ran through the cave killing and looting everything.


I am absolutely disgusted with this and really hope they change it soon.

Woolamander Harrower bones are going for over 3mil a piece.

Not true, well might be true, but still no re-spawn after the cave has been cleared out. The Aa'kuan cave, for instance used to have a respawn rate of 1 hour. Now, only once a day = after server restart.


And, there has been a Dev post inquiring data on this. They have noticed.


So, please don't blame us Europeans.

I am not blaming the Europeans. I stated they were the ones I saw on our server. There was one bragging about it even because server up for us is early morning, for them it is prime time playing.

I don't care who or what is cleaning out the caves personally. I do care that SOE has overlooked this problem for too long, is robbing content from the rest of the players and needs to pull a developer to specifically fix this problem.

The server resets at around 6am - 7am EST, England is 5 hours ahead = 11am -12pm, rest of europe is like 7hours ahead of EST, this is prime time???? I guess these people must be losers and have no jobs or lives to be playing everyday at this time!!

those losers are at least awake I never wake up at 7 EST, ever (besides school)

Yes, something definitely needs to be done. I hate paying 3-4k for a ride to Dathomir just to find out the NS cave is empty. Right now, I only know of 4 'reliable' places for spawns: Tusken Fort, Squill Caves, Sennex Cave, and Geo Cave.

It's bugs like this that the DEV's have no excuse for not fixing. There work on some things is pathetic.

if anyone actually says this, they are stupid retards. fixing back to the way it should be is not for Jedi. if they think that they are retarded. the POIs worked before jedi were announced

if they fix the spawns then everyone will whine about jedi farming xp. They already complain about the geo cave and for the most part, it's spawns work.


I can see the 100's of posts flowing in right now:
