Thread: Guide to Testing on servers with Blue Frogs

I'm making this guide after the mania that happened on TC-Bria.
The first thing to realise, when you log in on a TC-Frogserver is 'what do I need to do??'.
This part is very easy. You check the forums and search for the latest 'patch notes'. At the moment all patch notes end up in 1 post so this won't be such a big problem.
After you've found the patch notes, you start 'filtering' the patch notes that you think would give the most bugs. If i can take an example : --The whole GCW Base-system is replaced --- Armor has got craftable --
This are just some random taken (none published) notes!!
After you've 'filtered' the notes that you think will give the most bugs, you make a list of what things you might need.
In this case you will need :
- A fighting (PvE and/or PvP) prof, to test the bases.
- An Armorsmith to test the new craftable armors.
With the frogs you can get professions like eggs from a chicken, so this won't be a problem. You get a full set of armor, weapons and buffs. After that you get the critical things needed to test the bases. The key thing to testing this is no PvP'ing in the cities. You'll ask 'why not then??'. The answer is simple. Duelling is not the direct thing to testing. With this also comes the big problem of lag. This just lowers the morale to test, because you can't move because of lag, load 5x longer than normal, etc..
So after you got all your stuff, you make a small 'deal' with another player. He places and Imperial Base and you place a Rebel Base. You both try to blow up eachothers bases and Report any bugs you can find.
After you have tested the bases, you also want to clear the new armors of bugs. Since you can make 3 characters on each TestCenter-Server, you don't have to surrender all professions on your excisting character. Just make a new char and makea Master Armorsmith of him/her.
After getting a new char and making it Master AS, you can start collecting all neccesarry resources and tools. Sometimes you'll also need a factory. You can get all these things from the Blue frogs, AKA Character Builder Terminals.
So.. you got all the stuff needed? Then start making the armors as good and as bad as possible. In this part you might need to let people (or yourself) PvP, but well.. this is for Testing Purposes!! Once you're done with these 2 things and can't find any bugs.. You start all over from the top and 'filter' new things out of the patch notes!! 
PvP'ing with the templates that you want, armor with 85% resist on all, and over-the-top buffs can be fun, but IF you do it, do it outside the cities!! TC-Frogservers are made for intensive testing, not as a playground for live players . IF you get on one, then TEST!! You will help the devs with this, and even help yourself. Why? If you test with this, you can speed up the process of getting the Publishes that are tested to LIVE! And I think every Live player wants a new Publish as fast as they can . So TEST, so you can PLAY on the Live servers once they go live.. The better testing, the sooner they go live!!
