There's no way to actually link the technique itself with the button. However, you can put FD in one of the boxes on your toolbar, then go to Options > Controls > Keymap then scroll down until you find the appropriate F-key (whichever you have the FD set to). Click it then change it so that the correct slot is activated by both the corresponding F-key and your middle mouse button. You'll have to have FD remain somewhere on your toolbar though, and should you switch between different toolbars make sure to do the same for all of them as well.

The first thing you will need to do is create a macro, call it whatever you want, and put in that macro the command for feign death (i think it's /feignDeath).

Once you do that, you open up the options window (ctrl - O), click on the "Controls" tab on the left of the window, and then click "Keymap". Once in the "Keymap" window, there will be a tab at the top called "Custom". Click that.

This will show you a list of all your current macros. You can then bind any macro to any key that you choose. In your case, you will bind the macro you just created to the middle mouse button. Make sure you hit "Apply" before "OK" because I find if you don't, the bind won't stick.

I've never actually done this so I hope it works.

It's probably better to use the macro option because you would want to clear the combat queue so the FD will immediately become the next command to execute. You don't want to have to wait, I mean afterall, it's an emergency and you want it to execute right away. So you will need to put the following in the macro....

/clearCombatQueue;

/pause .25;

/FeignDeath;

that will clear any commands you have queued and immediately make FD the next command and hopefully the FD will work on the first execution.....because FD is only 70% accurate at master smuggler...it doesn't always execute on the first use....

Also, you might be able to leave the /pause .25 out altogether or change the interveral....that's just there to insure that the commands don't execute to fast which will result in the following command to not register if there is no pause.....especially during laggy battles.
