Thread: Stat Migration For Comp Armor

Helmet
Chest
Boots OR Pants
Gloves
The other pieces aren't really needed because all it creates is 9 chances for a specific piece of armor to be hit. You will go through more armor faster with the 4 Pieces equipped but you can save a horde of credits if you buy individual pieces. And welcome to the Forums

This isnt true all the time. Try fighting an nightsister wearing that.
Yeah some NPCs can find the armor holes; I noticed this when I was in the warren with my 4 piece comp suit, the cyborgs there were getting through on some attacks.
I do. I fight all Nightsisters, includingsoloing Elders, wearing the four piece suit. WithElders I only have to watch out forthe bleeds and the damned stun batons

Oh, I thought this included bracers, so I've been wearing those too... Hmm, maybe I'll try without them.
To the original poster, if he reads this again...
Armor has something called Encumbrance. It is based on how heavy the armor is and how much it slows you down or hinders your ability. Composite can be made stronger than other kinds of armor and is very heavy.
Encumbrance is taken directly from your Secondary Stats equally.
Health Action and Mind (sometimes referred to as HAM) are the Main Stats.
Strength and Constitution are your Secondary Health stats.
Strength affects how much Health your specials cost when you use them.
Constitution affects how quickly your Health regenerates.
TheAction and Mind Secondarieswork the same way. The 2nd stat affects how much your specials cost and the 3rd stat affects your regeration rate.
If your armor has a combined total of 700 Health Encumbrance, that means you need to have at least 700 Strength and Constitution since those are the Health stats the Encumbrance subtracts from. So lets say you have exactly 700 Strength and700 Constitution and your full suit of armor has a combined Health encumbrance of 700. In this example it would take 700 points away fromboth your Strength and your Constitution. That would leave you with zero of each. So having zero Strength will make your specials cost a lot more Health and having zero Constitution will make it regenerate much slower - hardly at all.
You can get buffs from Doctors for all of yourHealth and Action stats. They usually costbetween 10 - 15k to boost allthose stats at least +2000 points higher for about 3 hours or more. You can usually find a Doctor in the Coronet starport on Corellia or in Theed on Naboo or in Bestine on Tatooine. It's not a bad deal since you can take on much tougher missions and make more money than you could without them. With a high regeneration rate your main HAM stats usually regenerate very quickly and with a high specials cost reduction stat your specials hardly cost anything. Just be warned... they can be habit forming.
You can only boost your Mind stats by getting mind buffs from an Entertainer in a Cantina. You can usually find one in the same cities that have the Doctors, but they are in the Cantinas. Dancers can buff your Main Mind stat. Musicians can buff your Secondary Mind stats. You must be in a group with them and watch them dance or listen to them for at least 3.5 (or 4) minutes and then you must target them and type /stopwatching if you are watching or /stoplistening if you are listening for the buff to take effect.
And to migrate your stats, just adjust the sliders how you'd like them and then go to a player Image Designer and ask them toadjust your stats for you. They may charge a small fee and there might be a line. I've seensome charge up to 10k credits. It takes about 10 minutes for them to do this. You can usually find one in the Salon in Coronet, Theed and maybe Bestine. I usually go to the one in Coronet. To find the Salon, just exit the starport and keep running straight out from it and head right a little and straight again. Open your CTRL-M map and look for "Salon", or you can probably even type
/find salon
and just go to the waypoint it creates. You can also get some cosmetic changes to your character if you want while you're there like hair color, hairstyle, eye color, etc.
If you have any other question, just post 'em. ![]()

You will have to deal with the awful encumbrance as people have mentioned but at least you don't have to mess about equiping & unequiping each time.

(also power hammers, but thats just because I can't afford high base armour
)
Having said this there are armour holes in the four piece suit, but asa Twi'lek with low mind secondaries I have to save as much encumbrance as I can, I'll takethe occasionalHealth and Action hit I can heal if necessary. Also I can and do wear my four piece suit unbuffed (when I havean encumbrance sliced helmet) and fight in it, I just don't use specials, strictly talking mid to low mobs for this though.

what? The 4 pieces only work in PvP, where the people will be hitting specific mind/health/action pools. I have been grinding constantly for a long time, and always have to wear the FULL suit to get the full protection from creatures. But to answer the original post, as most people have said, its hard to wear a full suit without having to take some mind drinks and 2ndary foods. Best way to wear a full suit is to just bring down all primary stats to the lowest they can do, and distruibute the remaining points evenly to the 2ndary stats
