EDIT: old post....but still wondering if this will ever be put back in?

Is it just me or has this functionality been removed? If it hasnt what am i doing wrong? Ex. lets say i want to color a stim b i used to put \#FF0000Stimpack - B...etc this would color it red. Since the patch last week i cant color the items the same way, has anyone found a new way?

oh they're sorry if they gave you the impression that they'd like you to ENJOY the game.

The reason they removed it is because they need to use the feature for their own purposes,ex. things with sockets are yellow,loot with exceptional stats. are green etc. If they left it in then anyone could color an item to make it appear as something it's not.

I also understand that several artisans and merchants were unhappy that they buy a whole skill box simply to get a small asterisk next to an item listed on the bazaar (at a cost of 100cr), while anyone could colour an item name and make it stand out much more than a 'premium' auction...

Why on earth are you all against coloring? For one, removing colored items (which those that had the 'premium auction' ability were able to make, will not fix the premium auction function - instead they should do as real auction sites do and always havethe pemium auction items at the top of the page (much as sticky's are in this forum). And not being able to see if an item has a powerup or is exceptional? You can examine any item really very easilly and see the stats, if there is a powerup, if it is exceptional, etc. The vast majority of us that used color did it because it added to the game in both fun and usability. To remove that ability and call it a 'bug' is wrong, and harmful to the playerbase.

You have to admit though, some people abused the coloring scheme to such a degree, you couldnt read what was on the sign or on some of the items. Maybe they should make things a bit easier to color (and limit the colors) so they are actually readable instead of nerfing the whole system.
