What is a "tracking device to locate a downed satilite" used for? Also, where do i get the kit to assemble it? thanks all.

Why didn't anyone just say so from the beginning? The reason i asked was obviously I didn't know what they were.

Why are you so rude to me? and is it this?
If this is the engineering quest from Ictesa Oiko you need to go to the gadget Specialist behind the coronet starport and talk to him. You get a loot kit you have to fill . you will need 3 player crafted Items Micro Sensor suite,Electronics Memory module, and an Energy distributor. Looted items are Tracking device case 1 thru 3 and Tracking Device Assembly Brackets 1 thru 3....the rest of the answers should be on your quest journal...happy hunting

I'm getting frustrated over have to answer the same post so many times: I will shorten it into one post for you.
The tracking device is used in a Force Sensitive quest. You only get the loot kit when you accept the mission in the village. No one is able to take the mission yet.

Sorry man, but I think the reason for that is obvious. At least for anyone with a brain bigger than golf ball. No offense meant, of course.
To answer more of your questions - you can choose this quest when the village is in the phase when this quest is available. You can find "when" it is available in many of the guides on this forum.
