Thread: Guide to How to get the visit ASAP (from the old man)

Small guide to how to get a visit from the old man asap.
Before you ask yourself when you will get visited, you have to keep several things in mind:
- He's called old man for a reason, he doesnt walk that well anymore
- He isnt allowed to drive a vehicle because of his poor sight (damn imperial rules)
- He doesnt like crowds
With this in mind, stick to the following guidelines to get yourself and make others get a visit faster.
- Dont hang around on islands. The old man doesnt swim that well and not only does he have to swim to you, he also has to swim back again to go speak to the next person
- Dont use burstrun ever. If he was about to catch up with you when u started your run, there is no chance in the world he'll ever do so now.
- Dont use vehicles, always walk. As said, the old man will have a very tough time keeping up with you, if you keep on driving away from him.
- Carry some brandy with you. He loves a good ol' Vasarian Brandy (who doesn't?)
- As soon as you head out into the wilderness, let someone know which direction you are going and leave markings on rocks. Make sure those marking are clearly visible. Color doesnt matter, as the old man is colorblind.
- Make sure there are never any living womprats around you. He doesnt like rats.
- And MOST IMPORTANTLY, don't whine when he doesnt visit you immediately. He doesn't like whiners and has a habit of putting them at the end of his list
Keep in mind that he has to visit a lot of players and he has to do it all by himself. Shuttle waiting times are only 5 minutes but he cannot use as that would require him to visit cities. How he travels to other planets is currently unknown.

lol this old man reminds of Santa Claus, he comes once a year, has cool presents and cant walk so fast.

Apparently the old man has force-enhanced olifactory senses. Given that, as we all know, the force-sensitive give off a particular odor, it makes perfect sense to urinate every 2 minutes when you are on the move. Don't piss in the sand or water, folks. Rather go for trees, rocks and concave corners of buildings. I've heard that the 1-3 days can be reduced to 24 - 72 hours this way.

I think he only appears when no one else is around except yourself.
A lot of people had visits by going to player cities (That are usually empty).
The old man came to me when I was at the Smuggler's Outpost on Endor... no one was around. But maybe you have to relog often too. When I got to the outpost, the Ticket Collector was invisible, so I relogged, about 5 seconds after I'm back in the game, I see the Old man RUNNING (Yes he was running to me... maybe he isn't as old and weak as we all think, lol) towards me.
