The EE3 does heat damage.
DXR-6 and Nym's Slugthrower do acid.
Everything else is energy.
BUT...there are some new carbines due to come out, judging by the pics I've seen on the TC forum. So there maybe a stun one shortly, but don't get your hopes up just in case.

What about the carbineer's skills. Might be one that "stuns".. I used carbines a short time but I think there are some good special skills depending on your level. Does that make a difference?

I'm doing marksman at the moment and one of the specials stuns creature on a regular basis, I think it's fullauto or something. This happens mainly on low end creatures so it isn't so reliable but at least it works. May not be what your looking for but that's all I can come up with.

He is refering to the damage type :Stun not a skill that adds a Stun state

if carbineer had a stun damage carbine, you would see every one pike it up. it would unbalance everything in the game being that carb can do some sick moves and some sick damage

As you have already found out no there isn't, nor is there a kinetic, cold, electric, or blast weapon in the carbine field.
