I have been looking on the boards for the answer but haven't had any luck yet ...so ..

If I get trained in various professions , and decide down the road to get rid of the skills I learned for needed skill points toward a different profession , Do I lose the whole tree ? For example If I had the Scout tree mastered ,then had the scuad leader mastered , and to get some needed skill points , I got rid of wilderness survival I , would I lose alll of the skills above that ? i.e. Wilderness survival II , and so on .. Master Scout , and Squad leader . If somone can point me in the right direction either in response , or towards a URL it would be greatly appreciated .

You can't give up preqs while having the dependant skiill.

Or, to put it into English, to give up, say Wilderness Survival 1, you need to loose Master Scout, and Wilderness Survival 4, 3, and 2, plus any other skills that require any of the above.

It just seemed alot when you see of some people being one master profession, and then a couple of lines from Elite professions , meaning they likely had to master additional professions to delve into the elite ones . I was thinking they had dropped lower professions . But if they were requirments , then they would still have to keep them . Now I got to do some research on which skill trees do which ...Big learning curve :}

Just becareful what you drop as you do so. I also had scout and needed skill points for elite combat professions. So I got rid of what I dont need from the trees first. In my case, I slowly dropped camping first and then trapping tree. Keeping exploration and hunting trees for the moment. Both of those help with skills like terrain negotiation speed, scent hiding and larger creature resorce harvesting amounts. And I only drop enough skill boxes to be able to get the ones I need. So basically I only drop 1 or 2 boxes if I only need minimal points for the next advancement. That way I can continue to maximize the scout benefits as long as I can.
