Been searching the boards a couple of times, but haven't been able to locate any threads about this.

Has anyone created an easy-to-use chart of the different weapons?

I'd like to see one for comparing weapons to make it easier than having to track them down in-game...

Yes yes, I know I could just search for "the best weapon X for skill Y", but I like to see the numbers myself and make my own observations!

http://killyourpc.org/swg/swg_dps.phpthis is a site where you can enter the weapon speed and damage and the skillmod speed you have for the weapon and find out yourself what does the most DPS with what attacks etc, the type of the weapon itself has effect on the AP and the type of damage it does. if you're fighting anything with armor try to get a weapon with armor piercing as high as possible, and learn the damage types your weapons do. This way you can examine a creature and find out what they are very resistant to and what they are less resistant too.

If something has armor rating 1 (light) then your damage with AP0 (none) gets reduced with 25%, if it has armor rating medium the leftover damage after the 25% gets reduced by another 25% and when armor rating is heavy with another 25% (at least i think that's how it works)

Similar with armor piercing is medium and the mob has light then you get a 25% bonus, with heavy armor piercing on light armor you get another 25% bonus. etc etc.

(this is just what i think i read so anyone please correct me if i'm wrong)

If you're not sure which of the weapons you have will do more damage to a certain creature or NPC try it out and switch around, normally you'll see it fast enough, or if not it might not make a big difference. If you're a slow profession like pikeman or swordsman, or as ranged any prof without tapes/bh lines, you can run a test with damage calculator to see if a speed slice might do more damage then a damage slice. it's always good to carry different kinds of weapons around to do different types of damage to suit the situation you're in.

One thing that really suprises me is the totally non-linear speed progression (followed the link to the speed calculations) - what it really show is, it's pretty important to go for the lowest possible weapon speed as long as your skill speed mod is low.

But it wasn't exactly what I was looking for...

I'd just like to see one tabel with, for example, all the pistols with their average stats.

Making it possible to get an overveiw of all those weapons at once!

Still a nice link though, going right into my cache of SWG links.

I've never heard of a list like that, prolly doesn't exist because stats of guns vary greatly depending on the recources used and special looted parts like krayt tissue, if you visit a couple of weapon smith vendor you'll get a very good idea of the stats of pistols though, good luck with it
